Determining First Menopause Symptoms

The first symptoms of menopause also known as perimenopause can occur as long as ten years before the actual onset of full blown menopause. Basically, women in their late 30s up through the 40s can start the perimenopause cycle which is basically the reduction of the production of estrogen. Once the ovaries stop releasing eggs, then a women is in full blown menopause and will experience a full onset of symptoms, those early signs of menopause you may experience for years leading up to the actual event.

There are certain first signs of menopause that you will notice and these could occur in a greater or even lesser degree depending on your individual case, and if you are lucky, you could escape with just the barest symptoms, though in other instances the symptoms could be pretty severe causing a lot of distress and anxiety to the affected person.

Menopause is a woman’s last period; it is the stage of life that occurs in the transition period for reproductive or no reproductive fertile due to the decrease of sex hormones produced by the ovaries. Menopause delimits the two phases of the climacteric, menopause premenopausal and postmenopausal women. The average age of women at menopause is 51 years, which ranged from 48 to 55 years. When it occurs in women younger than 40 years is called premature menopause. The decrease or lack of female sex hormones can affect various parts of the body and determine signs and symptoms known by the name of climacteric syndrome or menopausal.

Menopause is the stopping function of the ovaries. Or That is, the ovaries stop producing the hormones estrogen and progesterone. Not a disease, it is only a stage in women’s lives. The main characteristic of menopause is the stopping of menses.

There are some women who wondered and worried about what will happen when they reach menopause. Menopause is not a scary moment. So, don’t be scared.

In fact, menopause can be a positive experience. It is a chance for all women to focus more on themselves and make changes that will improve their health.

There’s no way of predicting exactly when your menopause will occur. In other words, each of us has an internal biological timer that is programmed before birth to set off the hormonal events that trigger both the start and the end of menstruation.

It seems most likely that our individual genes determine the age at which we experience menopause.
